Gayle Vaughan

Tennis Manager

Gayle’s primary role is to lead and develop the coaching team at Albany Sports Park and to support coaches working at clubs in the Tennis Northern region.

Gayle’s coaching approach is to enable players to serve, rally and score from the first time they step onto a court. Making tennis fun with a suitable level of challenge to enhance player development whilst enjoying some laughs and friendly banter together along the way.

Gayle moved to NZ from the UK in 2016 and has held a range of coaching and tennis development roles, including National Participation Programmes Manager and Coach Development Manager at Tennis NZ. Gayle is familiar with the Tennis Northern region, having previously coached at Browns Bay Racquets Club and held the Head Coach role at Mairangi Bay Tennis Club.

As well as developing players, Gayle is also an experienced coach developer and delivers professional development courses and workshops for Tennis Northern and Tennis NZ and is the lead Coach Developer on the ITF Level 1 Development Coach qualification.
