Blue Hot Shots is a  program designed to create the best start for 3 to 5-year-olds. Even before playing on a red court we want to ensure that children build skills and confidence. We want to ensure that kids start with active healthy lives so we have created a program to develop all the fundamental motor skills required. It’s all presented through fun and play but most importantly creates a great way to get started.

Tennis Hot Shots is the national starter tennis program for New Zealand children. Modified Hot Shots equipment gives kids the opportunity to play an adult version of the game in an environment that suits them. Red, orange and green balls, smaller courts and shorter, lighter racquets allow kids to hit the same tempo as the pros, move around the court in the same way, and execute the same tactics.

A full-size court with a fully pressurized ball is used, with our Giant stage. Players who have processed through the hotshot stages or beginner teenagers will play within the giant stage. At this age the social aspect is very important to ensure each person is comfortable and having a good time as well as learning the techniques and tactics that best suit their level and abilities.

Albany Tennis Park school holiday programme is a fun one week (half-day) tennis programme, where kids make friends on the court and better their tennis abilities. We focus on maintaining the level of each child by putting them in a specific group based on their age and ability, each coach knows what they need to do to help the child succeed and on the last day of Holiday Camp (Friday) we run a mini-tournament round-robin style.

Tennis Xpress is a national initiative, delivered regionally in clubs and regional tennis centres for adults who have never played tennis before or those who haven’t played for a while. Covering basics such as learning to score, techniques of groundstrokes, volley and serve. Tactics for both singles and doubles.

“Skills&Drills” is a pathway of Tennis Xpress for players that already completed Tennis Xpress and want to develop and improve their technique.

Cardio Tennis is a fun, social, group tennis-fitness program for people of all ages and abilities. It is a high energy fitness activity that combines the best features of the sport of tennis with cardiovascular exercise, delivering the ultimate, full body, calorie burning aerobic workout.
